Statement
As a Clark County resident since 1986, I understand the importance of a strong and responsive local government. The County Charter is our community’s foundational document, and the Charter Review Committee plays a vital role in ensuring it remains aligned with the will of the people. I spent more than a year working on a full rewrite of a nonprofit’s constitution, followed by writing policies for several of its committees. That kind of hands-on experience with real-world governing documents gives me a solid foundation to serve effectively on the Charter Review Commission.
If elected, I will prioritize people over bureaucracy, protect your right to petition, and work for greater accountability and fiscal responsibility. Since I moved here, safety has become a greater concern. I will be looking for amendments that support our law enforcement.
I believe in thoughtful, commonsense solutions that strengthen local governance and reflect our community’s values. By carefully reviewing the Charter and proposing needed adjustments, we can ensure a more effective balance between professional management and public oversight. I’m committed to listening to your concerns and representing your voice with integrity and purpose.
