CCRP Draft Platform and Core Principles
In preparation for delegates debating the platform at the Convention, there are a few things to know.
1. See the attached draft version of the Platform that has been heavily updated and revised by the 31 member committee. Also see the draft Core Principles.
2. Compare them to the current platform on the CCRP website if you want to see what has changed.
3. You will notice that the committee added several main planks including Bearing Arms, Agriculture, etc.
4. If you want to make suggestions that may be able to be added to the document that will be shown on screen, please email those to by 5:00 PM on this Thursday.
5. If you can't make that deadline, print out your amendment/suggested change with your name, precinct, and cell number and bring it Saturday and turn it in to the Registration Table ASAP.
6. Amendments will be allowed from the floor. The above is just to speed up the process.
7. If amendments are proposed from the floor, we would appreciate if they were written up neatly, read by you from the mic, and then handed to the secretary to input to the projected document.
8. Lastly, the committee erred on the side of keeping some suggestions, even if there wasn't a large majority supporting it on the committee, because it is easier to delete items than add them. So you will likely see those.
