18th District lawmakers introduce bill to protect kids in youth sports from predators‍

House Bill 2180, sponsored by Rep. John Ley and endorsed by Rep. Stephanie McClintock, would require background checks for all coaches and individuals who manage or supervise youth sports programs. The bill also directs the Department of Children, Youth, and Families to develop mandatory training on reporting child abuse and neglect tailored for youth sports coaches and make it publicly available. Get more information here.

A special thank-you to our volunteers and patrons whose dedication made this celebration possible.

WA State Colleges bloat admin costs while student enrollment collapses

It isn't hard to find waste and bloat in Washington State's budget.  This example is typical of how the state takes your tax dollars, wastes them on bloated bureaucracy, then tries to offload the costs onto the taxpayers claiming "they need more money."  No amount of money in the world is enough.  They will waste every dollar of yours they can extract and get their hands on.

Remember, government hates it when you start looking at how they operate, and they really don't want you to know how they squander your tax dollars.  Government will never reform itself.
