Clark County Republican Party‍

CCRP Precinct Caucus Press Release

On Saturday, February 3rd, the Clark County Republican Party conducted their rescheduled precinct caucuses. Originally, the caucuses were supposed to be held on January 13th but because of the inclement weather, 10 of the 11 locations notified the party that they were going to have to cancel. In a quick pivot, the CCRP reserved the Clark County Fairgrounds Event Center for everyone to come to instead of 11 locations spread throughout the county.

Washington State Primary Elections Explained‍

Washington State has “Open” presidential primaries. There is no party registration, but to vote the voter is required to affiliate with a party via a declaration (check box on the outside of the envelope sleeve) and then only vote for the candidate of that party. The check box affiliation has no bearing on how a voter may vote in the general election or any other elections, including future presidential primaries.

What's next in Olympia? (2024 Week 6)‍

You may not be aware that the HOUSE is still hard at work over the weekend of Feb 10-11. One of the favorite tactics of the current Democrat leadership is to hold the house members in town all weekend, and then to be “at ease” for most of the day.

I would not be at all surprised it the Representatives were called to the floor later today for a marathon session. We’ll see what happens. There is also a “possible session” scheduled for Sunday afternoon, too.
