Class Description:

This free class is for those who would like to know more about what being a PCO involves. It is for anyone, current or future PCOs, as well as non-PCOs.

We will cover the processes of becoming a PCO, responsibilities of a PCO, meeting protocols, how PCOs fit in the party, and opportunities to volunteer.

Come ready to get your questions answered and meet up with other like minded patriots!

This is a free and interactive training that builds on Phase 1. We will get into the more day-to-day activities that will help you be successful. Each main topic will have time for questions. Plus each main section will allow for reflection time as well as homework applying the lesson learned. Doing these assignments will result in a solid foundation for building your campaign!

Please RSVP to Kirk VanGelder at to reserve your spot so we can have handouts and snacks ready for you! Due to limited seating, first priority will be given to non-PCO candidates. We will fill any empty seats with PCO candidates.

Certified Election Observer (CEO) Annual Training ‍

Online training is available through the elections department of Clark County and is required to observe ballot counting. The Election Integrity Team organizes observers from the CCRP.

‍Opposing statements sought for Aug. 6, 2024 ballot measures

For the August 2024 Primary and Special Election, the Elections Office, as the filing officer, has identified nine propositions that do not have citizens appointed to write an opposing statement. The City of Camas, City of Washougal, Town of Yacolt, Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue, East County Fire and Rescue, Fire District No. 3, Fire District No. 6, Fire District No. 13 and Clark County Emergency Medical Service District No. 1 all are in need of committees to write opposing statements for their propositions.

Are Illegals voting in our Elections?

On May 8, Speaker Mike Johnson and other Republicans introduced a Bill to Protect Americans’ Right to Vote.

The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, legislation led by Congressman Chip Roy(R-Texas) in the House and Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah) in the Senate, would require proof of American citizenship to register to vote in federal elections.

A quick internet search all showed similar headlines dominating the news outlets on the subject, but a case in Clark County suggests the headlines could be misleading.

‍County Manager Seeks Telecommunications Commission Applicants

Vancouver, Wash. – The county manager is seeking applicants with an interest in government and educational access television and cable television franchising to fill four positions on the volunteer city/county Telecommunications Commission. Applicants must be Clark County residents.
