Silent Majority attorney defends La Center school district in gender policy case‍

Earlier this year, OSPI found the La Center School District to be in violation of Washington nondiscrimination laws and ordered the district to rescind its pronoun directive, which required proactive parental notification without student consent. Rep Ley says the last estimate two years ago placed a price tag of between $5 billion up to $7.5 billion for bridge construction. He believes that the price tag may triple or go even higher, and no drawings for a new bridge have been finalized. Bottom line: No one on the committee knows the full price of the new I-5 bridge. Washington OSPI’s Report Card “Miracle”: A Closer Look at the Numbers‍

In 2024, OSPI’s own Report Card showed just 50.9% of students meeting grade-level standards in reading and 40.7% in math. A year later, Reykdal claimed 71% in reading and 63% in math. That’s a jump of more than 20 points in just twelve months. Sounds amazing, right? Almost too amazing.

The City of Vancouver is now accepting applications for openings on 13 Boards and Commissions. Applications close on Saturday, Sept. 30.

“Boards and Commissions give our community a direct voice in shaping the policies that impact Vancouver’s livability, health, safety and future,” said Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle. “You don’t need a long resume or political experience, just a passion for this city and a desire to help shape its future.”
