## Legislative Committee Update for Week 6

Two bad bills, highly opposed by the majority of Olympia-watching citizens, passed the Senate floor last week on partisan lines. 



**[SB 5974](https://app.leg.wa.gov/billsummary?BillNumber=5974&Year=2025&Initiative=False)** providing a way for a Governor-run agency to remove Sheriffs, and **[SB 5906](https://app.leg.wa.gov/billsummary/?billNumber=5906&year=2026&initiative=False)** *Establishing data and personal safety protections within areas of public accommodation for all Washington residents.*



These bills will be scheduled for a House committee public hearing soon, so stand by to make more noise on those.
