CCRP News- Filing Week May 4–8, 2026

Official Clark County, WA Republican Party‍

Representing over 350 Precincts with Precinct Committee Officers (PCO), elected by local precinct residents.‍

Your Voice, Your Neighborhood: Lead as a Republican PCO

The strength of the Republican Party doesn’t start in D.C. or Olympia—it starts on your block. If you want to see real change in Clark County, it’s time to move from the sidelines to the front lines. Candidate Filing Week (May 4–8, 2026) is your opportunity to file as a Precinct Committee Officer (PCO).

Why Serve as a PCO?

As a PCO, you are the most local representative of the GOP. You are the vital link between your neighbors and the party platform.
    • Build the Party: Identify and engage with voters in your own precinct.
    • Set the Agenda: PCOs elect county party leadership and help shape the party’s direction and platform.
    • Support Candidates: You are the "boots on the ground" for conservative candidates during crucial election cycles.

A judge partially blocked Washington’s new sheriff standards law one day before it was set to take effect.

The law would allow the Criminal Justice Training Commission to deny, suspend, or revoke a sheriff’s certification, or require training, if a sheriff says something or makes posts online that could be considered prejudicial or discriminatory. Supporters of the law say it is intended to boost public trust and confidence in the criminal justice system by helping to prevent misconduct and enhance accountability for peace officers and corrections officers.
