WAGOP Chairman's Update: DOJ and WAGOP Initiative‍

In this week’s Chairman’s Update, Washington State Republican Party Chairman Jim Walsh shared key developments ahead of the upcoming legislative session in Olympia, noting that committee days are underway as preparations ramp up for January. He highlighted significant national news—the U.S. Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against Washington Secretary of State Steve Hobbs regarding access to the state’s voter database, citing federal authority to review voter registration lists for accuracy. Chairman Walsh emphasized ongoing concerns about improper voter registrations resulting from Washington’s automatic voter registration system and the lack of citizenship verification under the state’s all-mail voting process. He reiterated support for the Voter ID Initiative (I-26-126), urging continued petition efforts to strengthen election integrity and ensure clean, reliable voter rolls across the state.

Trump's DOJ files lawsuit against Washington State over concealed voter rolls - as promised

‍As we predicted, and as Harmeet Dhillon promised, the Trump DOJ filed the lawsuit against Washington State (and several other states) yesterday (Tuesday, December 2nd) to force Washington State to provide real copies with all the relevant data fields available of Washington State's voter rolls.  This is what happened after genius Secretary of State Steve Hobbs decided to keep the public voter rolls a state secret and he refused to reveal the truth about the voter rolls.
