Why do I have to declare I am a Republican on the outside of my ballot?

For your vote to count, you must vote for one candidate from the political party you marked on your envelope. If you do not indicate your party, your vote will not be counted. Your party selection will be removed from your voter record 60 days after certification of the Presidential Primary.

Why are there candidates on my ballot who have dropped out of the race?

The reason there are candidates on your ballot who have dropped out of the race is due to state law requirements. In Washington, the primary roster had to be finalized by early January to allow for the printing and mailing of ballots.

Register for the Convention

Purpose: Elect delegates (plus alternates) to the Washington State Republican Convention and adopt the Clark County Republican Party Platform.

Parking is FREE! Pets are not allowed, only trained service animals.

9 AM to 6 PM. Doors open 8 AM. Arrive early!

Delegates $20ÂșÂș | Alternates $10ÂșÂș | Guests $5ÂșÂș

All Delegates, Alternates and Guests shall pre-register for the Clark County Convention. You may also purchase lunch or bring your own. Nonalcoholic drinks are permitted.

ALL CLARK COUNTY REGISTERED REPUBLICAN VOTERS ARE ELIGBLE TO RUN FOR WASHINGTON STATE DELEGATE POSITIONS WITHIN THEIR LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT.

EVERYONE who would like to run for a Washington State Delegate position must complete the Application form before 9:00 am March 13 to be included on the printed ballot, per Rule 26.

Location Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds

The Delegate registration deadline is just TWO DAYS after our County Convention! 
Location: Spokane
Time: 2 full days of meetings (April 19-20). There will be training sessions on April 18th and opportunities to meet and interact with candidates and a variety of organizations April 18th thru 20th.
 
Purpose: Elect 40 delegates (plus alternates) to the Republican National Convention July 15-18 in Milwaukie. Adopt the WSRP Platform, endorse 9 candidates for statewide office,and a candidate for US Senate. Each of the 10 Congressional Districts will meet separately to endorse a candidate for the US House of Representatives.
 
Delegates/Alternates will be responsible for their own travel and entry fees.

The initiative plans to solicit 35,000 signatures by May 25, 2024

Hearings planned for 3 ‍out of 6 initiatives

The House and Senate will hold joint public hearings on the three initiatives on Feb. 27 and 28. Testimony can be given in person, virtually or through written testimony.

 

I-2111 to ban an income tax in Washington
I-2081 to protect parents' rights
I-2113 to restore the standard for vehicular pursuit

 

These 3 initiatives have not been granted hearings:

I-2109 to repeal the capital gains tax

I-2117 to repeal the hidden gas tax

I-2124 to repeal the "long-term care" program
