The initiative has already surpassed 500,000 signatures, well above the 308,911 required to hit the ballot. In March, Washington Governor Bob Ferguson signed a bill that would establish a 9.9% tax on individuals earning more than $1 million a year. Initiative 645 is looking to reverse that decision.
