### "Judicial activism in redistricting alters 17th LD and a dozen Washington legislative districts"

Posted at ClarkCountyToday.com , author John Ley, Thursday, March 21, 2024   "Nikki Torres, a latino Washington state senator in the 15th District has been drawn out of her district by a federal judge. The new map alters boundaries on 13 of the state’s 49 legislative districts including the 17th District in east Clark County. This came about because of alleged racism against latino voters centered around Yakima.

On Saturday morning, January 13, 2024, Washington’s Republican Party will hold its precinct caucuses, beginning a multi-step process to choose its 43 delegates to the Republican National Convention in July. Clark County caucuses will combine precincts in high school cafeterias and other public spaces around the county. Locations will be announced soon on clarkrepublicans.com.
