28A.150 RCW; and adding a new section to chapter 28A.345 RCW.
Why this matters
Senate Bill 5858 matters because it establishes parental rights over who is in contact with their children both in staffing and in guest speakers as well as teachers. It codifies in law that parents have the right to attend school board meetings, see the curriculum and even be informed of all health related issues with their children while under school supervision. This bill was introduced on February 13th and sent to the Senate Early Learning and K-12 education Committee. There it sits to die! Speak up and get this bill a hearing!
